BIOGRAPHY

Originally from the mountainous Hunza valley, Pakistani singer-songwriter and Producer Kashif Din rose to prominence on Coke Studio Season 12 in 2019, where he brought the folk sounds of his homeland to a wider audience with his Burushaski-language song “Bo Giyam”. His musical journey is characterized by fusing traditional Hunzai folk with modern sensibilities, a signature style showcased in his original compositions and covers available on platforms like YouTube. Beyond his performance career, Din founded “The Whispering Mountains,” a project dedicated to discovering and supporting talented vocalists in the remote regions of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral. Through his work, he continues to preserve his cultural roots while giving back to his community.
