Pakistani hip-hop has never been short of collaborations, but every once in a while, a project comes along that feels less like an album and more like a statement about where the scene is headed. Designerr, the new six-track EP by producers Umair and Jokhay, is one of those projects.
Released on 17 August 2026, Designerr brings together some of the biggest and most recognisable names in South Asian rap, with Umair and Jokhay taking on the role of producers and curators rather than traditional frontmen. The result is a project that feels like a meeting point for different voices, styles and generations within the region’s rapidly evolving hip-hop scene.
Six tracks, a whole lot of talent
Across its six tracks — Designerr, God Knows, Backseat, Ready or Not, Mafia and Way 2 Blessed — the EP moves effortlessly between Urdu, Punjabi and English, giving each track its own identity while keeping Umair and Jokhay’s production at its core.
The duo has assembled an impressive lineup of artists for the project. Talha Anjum and Talhah Yunus of Young Stunners make multiple appearances, alongside JJ47, Rap Demon, JANI, Jevin Gill and CGF. Adding an international touch to the record, American rapper Benny the Butcher joins Talha Anjum on Ready or Not.
